Going. Going and gone.

Okay, Okay,  I usually make these for my closest friends and family, but everyone is on a diet, so just letting you know, I don’t mind sharing the fruits (Mango) of my Labor. (Takes all day to make).
For those of you who may be interested..aheemmmm, the offer is short term.

I have 3 – 16 oz. Mango Chutneys w/ jalepeno, , I have 4 – 8 oz. and I have 4 of the small 4 oz. available. They are absolutely the best. It’s not real spicy.

I know those of you who know my Mango chutney will want some.  I am not going to make anymore until November and that all depends on how many Mangos I can collect.  This may be the last batch, guys.

The 16 oz. jar is   $12.00

The 8 oz. jar is     $8.00

The 4 oz. jar is     $ 5.00

These are vacuumed packed and canned accordingly to regulation canning procedures. They will stay fresh for one year without opening.

These goodies are delicious on chicken, pork, fish and even on cream cheese and crackers.

And especially in the Brie recipe found on Pepperidge farm pastry puff package.
Place round brie in middle of rolled out dough
Place Mango chutney on top, top with bacon bits
Pick up all 4 corners of dough and create a pocket like a purse
Brush with eggwash (egg with a bit of water)
Place in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for about  35-30 minutes and until golden brown
Now serve with sliced apples – YUM YUM

I spent 5 hours preparing these babies and I tell you, this is the best!

Also, I had the pleasure of having my little helper bake with me one more time before school starts. We made special Chocolate Chip cookies, Chocolate Chip cookies with Peanut chips and toasted Pecans as well. They came out really delicious; the special ingredient were the Ghirardelli 60 %Cacoa  chips instead of the semi sweet chocolate. These cookies are made on demand as they are made fresh and they are yours at a cost of .50 cents ea.

Don’t let size full you they are fully loaded! I am a cookie monster by nite and I can only have two with my  cup of decaf. Filling indeed.

Budget? No Problem!

You have to check this out, Really?!   I work with any budget.  A freind of mine asked for a $ 20.00 gift-something. And, Oh My goodness, this is something I would appreciate if it was given to me.

Long story short, her friend’s Mother (Aurora)  is travelling all the way from Chile and she is meeting some of the group for the first time. How cute is this!

Fresh Cardamon cookies and assorted cake pops.  5 Cookies on a stick @ 1.75 and 8 cake pops @ $1.25.  The pail $ 3.00.  ok. So  its $ 1.35 over, but she is one of my best customers and friend and all of you would get the same treatment from me.  Voila!

Emma, Immer and company

Emma passed away recently and her family is celebrating a Mass for her on Saturday.  After Mass her friends and family will gather at the house.  In Emma's honor, Monica placed an order of mini cupcakes with butterflies and pearls.  Apparently, Emma must have had a passion for pearls.

My little helper, Alyssa (my granddaughter) and I made angel coookies and together we placed little pearls to create a  halo and then added a bit of aurora glitter. I find them to be really cute.

First time ever, but what a thoughtful keepsake for someone to take home after having celebrated the life a loved one that has passed; Emma.

Next, Jenny asked if I could whip up a little extra something for a friend’s birthday. Sue me!
I thought she said the little something was for Emily only to find out later that the little something was for  Immer, so this little fondant cake was decorated with little flowers, at first, and then I  had to scramble to give it a good dose of testosterone. Arghh!!!

Lastly, I finally finished Monica’s order for the Mass Gathering for Emma. Everything in white and Angelic.

Oh, and l'est not forget, I am going to celebrate my husbands birthday twice.  Saturday in Ocala with friends  and Monday with his Miami Aunt (who is also having a birthday) and family.
August doesn’t get any crazier for me than this week; that is for sure.
Hope everyone has a good one.
Nancy
