Gunther, Sigrid and Angelina celebrate George’s 10th
Birthday! (Apparently his favorite video game is “Halo”-oops, whatever that means.
I’m so behind the times.)
Grandmother Tati, my 'bff', best and longtime friend
requested a camouflage theme for her grandson George’s birthday. She requested gift boxes instead
of goodie bags as treats, as well as, camouflage cupcakes and dog
tag cookies.
After some thought, Mom decided to place a “Thank You” on all of the cookies. I did it, but
I had a burning desire to personalize the same with 'George’s birthday' and 'Happy
Birthday' on each. The good news is there are two sides to every cookie - so back side it was. The outcome was really cute and I don't know if I am allowed to say that exactly given the nature of the theme. Guilty. I tied them all up with camouflage
ribbon - yes there is such a thing.
These cupcakes were fun to make. They were baked with white cake batter and a blast of chocolate. I bombed some of the white with green and blew up some of the chocolate with dark cocoa, hence the Halo effect!
