Jayla's THE Fashionista 16th Birthday @ Kitchen 305

Jayla is fascinated with Designer Betsey Johnson.  It so happens that Jayla’s last name is also Johnson.  Well, shut my mouth wonderfulness!   And so the party was getting started.

Melissa,  of Mocha Shic Events directed this Grand affair for the Johnson Sweet 16 Dinner @ Kitchen 305 in Sunny Isles, Florida.

She did a beautiful job with the tables settings.

I was given a picture by way of  Jayla’s Mom of the cake her heart desired.  Of course, I feel I enhanced on some of the criteria -  bragging rights included.

Added feature: rose cookies (a modern-e touch) to match the cake and serve as party favors

Bright and animated, just like Jayla.  Fashion sense is  written all over her - Miss Fashionista.  I learned a new term: fashionista.
I think I like it!

Shuntice & Leo's Romance the Night Away

This must be LOVE!

Melissa, of Mocha Shic Events, was commissioned to put together Shuntice’s wedding anniversary. This turned out to be anything but an ordinary celebration...

Idea: Shuntice wanted to make sure her husband Leo was surprised. She had Melissa recreate the entire wedding scenario from that marvelous day...from the moment they entered their Hotel room to the romantic ambiance. Wow!

I heard through the grapevine that Leo was moved to tears at her romantic gesture.

This is definitely a good model to follow.  Girls, we need to learn from this!

She ordered a little red velvet cake, but had to have  the hearts.  A dash of silver was on the wish list, so voila... chocolate ganache avec little hearts with their names and silver roses...

Love was in the Air for sure.

B's Party-Gras!

...I was commissioned to confection a Surprise Birthday for Bee's Big day!   I had the privilege of catering another event  for her two years prior... the famous Ying Yang Wedding.

This year the bash would take place in “The Cruz Building;" an amazingly beautiful venue reminiscent  of old world New Orleans decor. As a result, a Mardi Gras Masquerade Theme was born.

The order included everything Mini for this Gala Event. The task was to fabricate a cake environment with cupcakes.

In all, I prepared  300 Minis in 4 different flavors: Guava, Dulce de Leche, Coconut, and Bee’s favorite, Lemon.

Her cake resembled a sea of brightly lit, gold Fleur De Lis   fondant wrapped cupcakes airbrushed in metallic colors with matching glitter. Glitter-fi-cation was the special of the day. It was truly spectacular. All in all, metallic candles were placed atop 50 minis..voila!

I created all of the matching displays and enhanced the set with  Mask cookies in glitter.

Also, the cake pops ordered were all glittered and also fondant masks. Everything edible-licious!
